Research, Education in Emerging Technologies

Add Value to NET Incubator
Emerging Technologies

NET Incubator’s academic affiliate, Central State University, adds value for clients that are tooling technology-based business ideas for the marketplace. CSU’s Center of Excellence in Emerging Technologies offers a platform for best practice research, while at the same time graduating highly skilled students who are prepared to take jobs in emerging technologies in the Miami Valley and throughout Ohio.

The Center integrates CSU’s specialties in manufacturing engineering, environmental engineering, mathematics and computer sciences, natural sciences, and technology transfer and commercialization through the National Environmental Technology Incubator. The Center specializes in integrating renewable and alternative energy with manufacturing and environmental protection disciplines.

Other advantages of CSU’s affiliation with the NET Incubator:

  • CSU’s International Center for Water Resources Management offers the only interdisciplinary baccalaureate level curriculum in water resources management. The program is listed in Gale’s International Research Centers.
  • CSU has been designated by Congress as the lead institution in remote sensing technologies research applied to solving water management problems for the U.S. Department of the Interior in the arid western states.
  • CSU’s Manufacturing Engineering Program is one of only 22 such programs in the U.S. accredited by ABET, the recognized accreditation body for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering and technology. The program has maintained accreditation since 1991.
