The Net Incubator selects tenants who have created a business concept in emerging technologies. Emerging technologies could include automotive, biomedical, advanced manufacturing, information or engineering science technology.
Propsective tenants should possess a concept that has potential for commercialization, a willingness to receive guidance and support from experienced business experts, and a potential to generate jobs.
Applicants to the Net Incubator should also:
- Plan to contribute to the growth and diversification of the region's economic base
- Actively pursue opportunities and activities that will promote business growth
To apply to the Net Incubator, we recommend that you submit a business plan. We will contact you to let you know that we have received your plan. For more information on developing a business plan, visit the Small Business Administration website
- Do you have a new and innovative product in the early stages of development?
- Can your product be commercialized and marketed within three to five years?
- Do you have “all three legs of the stool”: a business structure, an entrepreneurial team and a technology that will be competitive in the marketplace?
- Were your revenues in the past fiscal year less than $5 million?
- Do you have fewer than 30 employees and are you privately held?
- Are you commercializing your technology in a stand-alone company separate from a larger, privately-held company?
